Publishing Process

The Journal of Life and Bio-sciences Research (JLBSR) follows a structured publishing workflow to ensure the integrity and quality of published research. Below is an overview of the steps from manuscript submission to publication:

  1. Manuscript Submission

Authors submit their manuscripts through the JLBSR online submission system. Submissions must adhere to the Author Guidelines, including formatting and ethical standards.

  1. Initial Editorial Assessment

Upon submission, the editorial office conducts a preliminary review to assess the manuscript's suitability concerning the journal's scope, originality, and adherence to ethical guidelines. This includes a plagiarism check using Turnitin software. Manuscripts not meeting these criteria may be desk-rejected within five working days.

  1. Peer Review Process

Manuscripts passing the initial assessment undergo a double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript's scientific merit, methodology, and contribution to the field. The review process typically takes 4 - 6 weeks.

  1. Editorial Decision

Based on the reviewers' feedback, the editor makes one of the following decisions:

Authors receive a decision letter outlining the reviewers' comments and the editor's decision.

  1. Revision and Resubmission

If revisions are requested, authors should address all comments and resubmit the revised manuscript within the stipulated timeframe. The revised manuscript may be sent for a second round of review, depending on the extent of changes made.

  1. Final Acceptance

Once the manuscript meets all requirements, it is formally accepted for publication. Authors are then asked to format their manuscript according to the JLBSR template before proceeding to the production stage.

  1. Production and Proofreading

The accepted manuscript undergoes copyediting, typesetting, and proofreading. Authors receive a PDF proof to review and approve. This step ensures accuracy and allows authors to make final corrections.

  1. Online Publication

After final approval, the article is published online and assigned a DOI. JLBSR publishes articles ahead of print, ensuring timely dissemination of research findings.

This streamlined process ensures that all manuscripts are handled efficiently and transparently, maintaining the journal's commitment to high-quality scholarly publishing.
